We are learning all about 3D shapes!
Students will learn how to describe and sort 3D shapes by their attributes. Attributes include: how many faces a shape has, how many edges it has, how many corners (vertices) it has, and if it can stack or roll.
Students will experiment with 3D shapes to see if they stack and roll.
They will discover real life objects that look like the 3D shapes we are learning about in the classroom.

3D Shape Riddles!
I have 6 faces that are all squares.
I have 8 vertices and 12 edges.
I look like a present box or building blocks.
Who am I?
Sorting Fun!
The students will sort the 3D shapes in a variety of ways. They will use math words to explain their thinking and describe how they have sorted the shapes.

Building and Creating with 3D Shapes
We will use 3D shapes to build different structures. We will also create our very own 3D shapes!
